I just put together my most recent market report and the low volume really stood out–about half of recent years. In January 2025 only 65 detached homes sold in Marin County. And in Sonoma County only 181.
For the past two decades, Marin County averages about 178 detached home sales per month. Whereas, Sonoma County was averaging 384.
Now, January is not the busiest month of the year. Things usually slow down between Thanksgiving and Super Bowl, but: it is slow.
