Marin County and Sonoma County Historical Home Sales 2002 – 2025

I’m a bit of an information junkie. It helps me and my clients make informed decisions.

Today I offer some data on detached single family home sales in Marin County and Sonoma County from 2002 until 2025.

In 2002 the average sales price of a home in Marin County was $881,092, and in Sonoma County it was $428,751.

In 2025 the average sales price of home in Marin County was $2,177,613, and in Sonoma County it was $1,071,935.

In 2002 2588 homes sold in Marin County and 6109 sold in Sonoma County.

In 2025 1867 homes sold in Marin County and 3745 sold in Sonoma County.

The charts tell the story. The number of homes selling now is at a similar level as during the mortgage crisis:
