The table below shows the detached home sales for select cities in the beautiful Coachella Valley for the month of November 2016.
The final sales prices for all five towns ranged from a low of $112,000 at 21780 Snowview Drive in Palm Springs, to a high of $13,000,000 for 2466 Southridge Drive also in Palm Springs. This legendary property, according to the listing, was the “largest private residence designed by John Lautner and commissioned by Bob and Dolores Hope. The property has entertained dignitaries from all over the world and is viewed by many as one of the most iconic pieces of architecture in the world.” This property (23,366sf home on a 6.1832 acre lot) was originally listed at $34M. After 301 days it was reduced to $25M. It must have been some interesting negotiations when the prevailing offer was presented. Up until now, apparently, the Hope family were the original and only owners.
