Because inventory (the available homes for sale to choose from) is so low right now the percentage of homes that are in escrow looks much higher than normally (or than it actually is).

Many people take their home off the market for the holidays, which means a few things:
1.  The sellers that are on the market are serious, motivated sellers.
2.  If you are thinking of selling your home, now is a good time because there is so little competition.
3.  The buyers that are actively seeking are qualified, motivated buyers.
