2011 Top 500 North Bay Companies

Like last year, I thought I’d share (via North Bay Bizsome of the local companies that are doing well and, possibly, hiring.

This year, like last year, Fireman’s Fund tops the list at number 1.

Autodesk slipped from number 2 to number 3.

State Farm Insurance slipped from number 3 to number 5.

PG&E slipped from 5 to 6.

Kaiser Permanente, on the other hand, went from 9 to 7.

Queen of the Valley stayed at 10.

Marin General Hospital was at 16 last year and is now at 25.

Wells Fargo Bank went from 30 to 31.

Bank of America went from 43 to 42.

River Rock Casino went from 39 to 43.

Local WestAmerica Bank went from 50 to 44.

Whole Foods went from 93 to 92.

How did real estate firms hold up?

Frank Howard Allen went from 114 to 119.

Pacific Union went from 158 to 188.

Creative Property Services 304 to 343.

Coldwell Banker of Napa Valley went from 319 to 333.

Bradley Real Estate went from 339 to 233.

Morgan Lane who was on the list last year is now absorbed by Pacific Union.

Prudential was on the list last year and has now been absorbed by several different companies, including Bradley here in Marin County.
