December 2010 Fun Things To Do Throughout Marin County, San Francisco and The Wine Country

As I have said time and time again, just one of the things that makes living here so great, is all the fun things to do.  Below is only a sampling:

December 1 thru 9 – Menorah Lighting on Union Square

December 1 thru December 19 – The Great Dickens Christmas Fair at the Cow Palace

December 1 thru December 31 – Reindeer Romp at the San Francisco Zoo

December 3 – Ice Skating on Main Street in Downtown Tiburon

December 3 – Santa Claus rides on a vintage fire truck to the Sonoma Plaza, lights up the Christmas tree and City Hall, and passes out candy canes to the kids, starts at 5pm.

December 4 – Blessing of The Olives at Mission Saint Francis de Solano, just off the Plaza in Sonoma, starts at 11:00am

December 4 – San Anselmo’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at City Hall from 5:00-7:00pm

December 4 – Annual Tree Lighting and Festival on Sherman Street in downtown Novato, starts at 4:30pm 

December 4 – Petaluma Merchants’ Holiday Open House from 11:00am thru 5:00pm

December 4 & 5 – Marin Symphony presents Holiday Concerts by Candlelight at Saint Raphael’s Church in San Rafael

December 5 – Liza Minelli is LIVE at Davies Symphony Hall

December 7 – Big Bad Voo Doo Daddy at Wells Fargo Center for The Arts in Santa Rosa

December 9 thru 27 – Nutcracker is being performed by the San Francisco Ballet

December 10 – Candleligt Performance of Truman Capote’s A Christmas Memory at St. John’s Church in Ross

December 10 – 2nd Fridays Art Walk in Downtown San Rafael

December 10 – Dana Carvey is LIVE at the Napa Valley Opera House

December 11 – Tamalpais Community Services District presents Breakfast with Santa and Winter Magic Festivities at Tamalpais Valley Community Center in Mill Valley, 9:00am thru 8:30pm

December 11 – Sausalito Lighted Boat Parade and Fireworks Spectacular, starts at 6pm

December 11 – Annual Lighted Boat Parade on the Petaluma River, starts at 6:30pm 

December 11 – Natalie Cole is LIVE at Wells Fargo Center for The Arts

December 11 thru 31 – Whale and Dolphin Watching on Hornblower Yachts

December 12 – Parade of Lights Dinner Cruises on Hornblower Yachts

December 18 – Moscow Ballet presents The Great Russian Nutcracker at Wells Fargo Center for The Arts (two shows:  2pm and 7pm)

December 19 – Parade of Lights Dinner Cruises on Hornblower Yachts

December 24 – Christmas Eve Buffet Cruise on Hornblower Yachts

December 25 – Christmas Day Buffet Cruise on Hornblower Yachts

December 21 – FULL MOON Dinner Cruise on Hornblower Yachts

December 21 – A Charlie Brown Christmas at the Napa Valley Opera House

December 31 – New Year’s Even Dinner Cruise on Hornblower Yachts
