Marin County Home Sales Charts from 2001 through May 2010

A picture is worth a thousand words and the charts below do all the talking necessary:

1.  The average price is up slightly.

2.  The number of homes selling continues to increase.

You can clearly see when the doo hit the fan in September 2007 (highest average sales price and fewest number of homes selling–the top of the market).  We’ve been clawing our way out of this mess ever since. 

The good news is that we are seeing improvement.  Slow and steady, the way it should be.
