Summer is a great time to be shopping for homes in the desert. Yes, Coachella Valley can be brutally hot in the summer BUT there are far fewer buyers to compete with for your favorite properties. Here are a few of my favorites for this week.
1155 Mesquite Avenue in Palm Springs is a 2700sf 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home on a 12197sf lot with a private pool. Land is fee (you own it, not lease it) and there is no HOA. Furnishings are negotiable. Click on the address link for more information.
70338 Calico Road in Rancho Mirage is located in prestigious Thunderbird Heights. This is a 4200sf 3 bedroom 3 bathroom home and 1 bedroom 1 bathroom casita on a 20473sf lot. Fee land. Private Pool. Gated community with HOA dues of $337 per month. For more information click on the address.
76713 New York Avenue in Palm Desert is located in one of my favorite neighborhoods, Palm Desert Country Club. This is NOT a gated community and many of the homes, like this one, have no HOA dues. (If they do have dues they are only about $360 per YEAR.) This home is 1860sf, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a private pool on a 6098sf lot. Walking distance to the clubhouse with free live music on Friday and Saturday nights. The restaurant serves casual, reasonably priced fare. And the price!! Click on the address for more information.
75855 Carnelian Lane in Indian Wells is an interesting piece of architecture, built in 1962, by architect Richard Dorman. This is a 5500sf 5 bedroom 6 bathroom home on a 25700sf lot located between the 5th and 6th holes in El Dorado Country Club. The land is fee and there is a private pool. HOA dues are $2125 annually and cable dues are $603 semi-annually. This is a gated community with guard on duty 24 hours–not that you need that in Indian Wells. Click on the address for more information.
