Marin County, CA Real Estate Market Conditions Update for September 2011

As of October 12, 2011 30% of available listings in Marvelous Marin County are in escrow.

For the month of September 2011 223 homes sold in Marin County (77 of which were distress sales) for an average final selling price of $843,637.

The average original asking price of these homes was $934,400.

The range of final selling prices was from a low of $84,000 to a high of $6,500,000.

Of the 223 homes that sold 19 sold at their original asking prices and 34 sold over their original asking prices.  Just goes to show that if you employ the 3 Ps (Pricing, Presentation and Photographs–but especially Pricing) your home will move quickly.

It took these homes an average of 122 days to sell.
