Marin County, CA Real Estate Market Conditions Update for August 2010

As of September 7, 2010 22% of available listings in Marin County are in escrow.

For the month of August 2010 only 171 homes sold in Marin County for an average final selling price of $855,994.

The range of final selling prices was from a low of $150,000 to a high of $7,000,000.

Of the 171 homes that sold 49 were distress sales.  That’s 28.65% — and we’ve been running at about 25 – 30%, so nothing new there.

It took these homes an average of 105 days to sell.  Nothing new there either.
